Me or You?

One part in the Trojan war is that Aeneas, is being begged by his own wife to stop the war and think of their family.  It is compared to the scene in Iliad wherein Andromache is pleading to Hector in the same logic, to think about their family mostly their son, Astyanax.
So I kind of think that both scenes share the same thought and is usually found in war movies wherein the wife of the character or someone really close is begging to think about their family. It makes me feel sad and it makes me think about my own family too, if I am in that kind of situation.
What I learned in the stories? I think it would probably be the critically and analytically thinking about a difficult situation. It also made me learn that your family is really important and would make you feel nostalgic if you haven't seen them in a while.
So what about their difference? It's pretty hard to see the difference in the two scenes but I think it would be about the correct foreseeing of the death of Hector predicted by Andromache.

VICTORIOUS and DEFEATED.

So in the last blog, I told you about my feeling with regards to the fall of Troy. The Trojans have been deceived by their enemy, leading to their victory.

How did the Trojans lose? Like I said in my last blog, the strategy of the Greeks is good and they didn't notice it well so they got deceived. Since they don't know how the Greeks are planning, the Trojans made their tactics to as an aggressive one, placing strong aces in the front leaving some rather weak allies on their bases. They didn't know that their strategy has been defeated by the strategy of the Greeks. That alone made the Trojan war the terrible loss for the Trojans.

So why is it the ultimate victory of the Greeks? Knowing their strategy well, they really put a lot of effort and time of thinking for it. Since they both want to win, they need to counter every move of at least win by every move they make. If you had lost in your move, you should think of a different move to at least win. That is the logic I think made the Greeks win the Trojan war.

Deceived by own eyes...

So there is one story called the Aeneid and it's a pretty long poem for me and I couldn't understand old terms so I felt like reading an translated version. So there is one part in the poems that Aeneas is telling the Trojan War and what happened in that part. The Greeks and the Trojans fought and in the end, the Greeks won.

Perhaps, you'll be thinking on how did the Greeks won. They won because of  of their strategy. Their strategy is the using of the Trojan horse. The Trojan Horse is a wooden horse that is used by the Greeks to infiltrate the base of Trojans. As I've said, the Trojans lost. And I am to make a reaction if I had sympathy about it.

So, yes I felt sympathy about it. It felt like that it is unfair, rude and cruel.  But I just can't blame it because it's their strategy and both clans want to win.

The Woman on the Painting

Who is she? Of course, most of us knows who she is.

She is Mona Lisa, a painting of Leonardo da Vinci which holds a lot of mysteries. Mona Lisa is one of the famous paintings made by a famous painter aside from those made by Michaelangelo and others. The painting is really beautiful and has a mysterious smile. The painting is now safely stored inside Musée du Louvre in Paris.

I can't tell whether she is smiling or sad since her smile is like hiding some emotions which are never released. She has the most mysterious smile I've ever saw. The painting is beautiful. Elegant but simple, that  was the painting is.

Perhaps, the mysteries held by the painting made it so famous.  Besides, who knows, maybe some of these mysteries would be cracked by someone.

Oh. I met....

Here is blog 3.4 and we were told to make an essay if I met someone really famous or a hero (possibly). So here it is.

One sunny morning, I walked on the streets and luckily I saw Sherlock Holmes. He said that he has a special appointment with me and said it last Tuesday. I almost forgot about it since I was really busy. We went through London to explore more about its places and historical landmarks. He kept telling me that once I removed the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

I was star-strucked to meet a person like him and I was like paralyzed. He told me about how he solved cases and use science as a part of it. Since there are no forensics available at that time, he used science as a part of solving mysteries and cases.

It was already dawn when he said goodbye to me. It will always be a memory to me and I will keep his deeds and sayings.

My Own Inferno

Dante Alighieri's Inferno is a good thing to read. It tells us more about our sins and how he encountered it. So our English teacher asked us to make our own version of Inferno. So, here it is.

Like Inferno, I represented the seven circles as the seven blocks. Each stage has its own sin.

It all started at April 1, after 7 years of his parents' death. His name is Minato and he saw the Dark Hour.

So after moving on from the dorm, he was selected as the leader of a mysterious group and they wielded weapons like axes, rapiers, katanas, and the most important, the Evoker. The Evoker is a kind of gun wherein it helps you summon your Persona. Your Persona guides as your weapon to the shadows namely sins aside from your weapons.

They went through out at 12:00 midnight, the time of Dark Hour.

1st block - Minato and his friends found out that their friend, Yousuke, has been trapped inside the Dark Hour. There, they saw the people who are greedy, taking every food they saw, eating as if there will be no tomorrow. They fight the shadows in the area and made it to the boss. The boss is Pot of Greed, taking every weapon of Minato. Good thing, Minato summoned his Persona, Loki, to attack the Pot. The Pot was killed and they successfully rescued Yousuke.

2nd block - The 12:00 midnight has came once again and they found that another friend of them, named Chie, was lost and trapped inside the Dark Hour.  They saw a different type of shadows, codenamed Thieves. These shadows steals every valuable thing Minato's group has. They've successfully defeated the boss named Venus Eagle. It's very fast and steals quickly. They saw Chie however they saw another form of her. But after defeating the boss, the other self has been removed.

3rd block - One by one, Minato's friends are being trapped without them knowing. Here, they had another friend trapped named Yukiko. The shadows are different like Minato stated. Chie said that the last shadow show the other form of Yukiko, the hidden side of her.  The shadows are named cheaters, they cheat in game houses, tests, and other forms of gambles. They are cheating, Minato found difficulty in fighting these shadows so he used his Persona, Melchizedek, to attack the shadows using physical abilities. The boss in this block is the Jotun of Thieves. Here they saw the other self of Yukiko and managed to save her and kill the boss.

4th block - Here they saw the shadows, named the Tardiness.Another friend of them was trapped and her name was Rise. Here we can see the shadows of people who are so tardy. Minato found no difficulties in defeating the shadows but not the boss.  The boss is using its tardiness to fight Minato. Luckily, Minato summoned his Persona, Seth, to defeat the boss from his body slam to Minato. They've rescued Rise successfully.

5th block - Another friend of them has been trapped inside the Dark Hour, named Kanji. They saw different kinds of shadows namely, the Bullies. These shadows bully other shadows just for fun and not thinking they are already hurting each other. A chaos was merely produced in this block so Minato and his friends found difficulty in finding Kanji. The boss in this block is Cyclops, a bully who never saints anyone. Minato summoned his Persona, Siegfried, to attack the boss using highly skilled physical attacks, the best counter-attacks for bullies and found Kanji.

6th block - They are getting closer to the last block but still, another friend of them was trapped inside. Her name is Naoto. The shadows are named, None. They are the ones who always say offensive words to other people. The boss in this stage is Carnal Snake which represents all of the offensive words written on its scales. The boss wrapped on Minato and his friends summoned their Personas, Jiraiya, Suzuka, Jack Frost, and many more. They've successfully removed Minato from the snake's wrap and found Naoto.

7th block - Everyone thought that everything is fine and all of the shadows are defeated. However, one last shadow is remaining and it was formed after killing all the 6 bosses in the past blocks. The name of the boss is Nyx, showing every sin a person can do. They had difficulties in fighting the boss and all of Minato's friends are unconscious. The last Persona that Minato has is Messiah, he called forth his power and defeated Nyx.

After defeating Nyx, Minato was sent to a place where there are no sins. The place is so peaceful and it's like a paradise. After realizing that the paradise without his friends is sad, he was sent back to Earth and his friends are waking him up. Then he realized that after defeating the boss, he fell unconsciously. His friends sent him to the hospital and he was confined for 2 weeks.
